The GATR app (app.nftgater.com) is going to be going through live testing as we begin to push updates for V4, the cross-chain update.
V3 was marked by more useful web2 API integrations and the introduction of Gater Spaces. V4 will revamp NFT Gater from top to bottom to start becoming a cross-chain service. It will become a plethora of blockchain-related pay-gating options for multiple chains, that connect you to an ever-growing list of web2 automations (see SoundCloud).
Cross-Chain Triggers
We will be integrating with multiple new blockchain query service providers to facilitate NFT token gating across blockchains. While the current gate triggers for Cardano cover assets, collections, stake pools and dReps, the initial features of V4 will focus on the most common use-case per blockchain, which will be verifying NFT ownership. All triggers within NFT Gater are independent of all abilities, meaning when you design your token gate in our codeless if-this-then-that UI, you could potentially demand payment in one currency and send a token to your consumer that is from a different blockchain (provided they have a valid wallet installed).
ETH & SOL Login Tokens
The NFT Gater login process will be getting upgraded to accommodate a suite of new ways to access the advanced paid features of the app through Ethereum and Solana based login tokens. Gater login tokens are a secure way to access your NFT Gater account and are transferrable, meaning that you can sell the NFT Gater automations you have designed by simply selling your login token.
As of today the minting campaign for Ethereum and Solana tokens is in progress and has not been launched. We plan to offer two service tier token collections to each network, Community tier and Enterprise tier. The pricing of these tokens may fluctuate between networks, but holders of the same tier will get all the same privileges regardless of their blockchain of origin.
Exactly 1,000 “Legendary” access tokens have been released, which never expire and are only available on Cardano. We also have the Community token minting now on Cardano, which provides service access up to 2026. You can check out both NFTs on our pricing page.
Improvements
The entire app is getting revamped to prepare for a rapidly-expanding set of token-gating features that will now be expanding across blockchains. After V4 is launched we will finalize market research in the most-used web3 service products across chains outside of Cardano as new connector / Gate Ability features. These cross-chain service partners can take NFT Gater beyond querying for NFT ownership and allow it to automate things like minting, pay-gating, staking and trading.
