Free Accounts
At the time of this writing NFT Gater accounts are free, you can register with a Cardano wallet on desktop/laptop.
The free tier can easily be used to facilitate fun and profitable token-gating projects on your website, but is limited in ability and queries.
Free accounts don’t have access to third-party integration features like Discord.
In documentation, when we refer to needing a Pro account we are referring to any and all tiers above Free.
Legendary TOKEN (120 ADA)
The Legendary Lobster NFT provides users with an upgraded tier of service, Legendary.
If you plan to be a power user or you have a large audience, get access to the full suite of features like the Events Manager, way to design and manage in-person events. There are exactly 1,000 of these tokens available in order to keep the initial user pool low. In addition to full access, Legendary holders get early and exclusive access to every new feature.
Community Tier (40 ADA)
NFT Gater currently has the “COMMUNITY” login token minting, and other service tiers will become available to service larger projects. The Legendary token (above) never expires, but Pro accounts are yearly subscriptions. For example, the COMMUNITY1 token that started minting in 2025 will expire on 1/1/2026, at which point the COMMUNITY2 token mint will begin. Pro tier series tokens generally will have an open policy so that new creators can use the tool, and no market speculation is intended or expected.
Feature Terminology
The counts alongside the features are simply a cap on your maximum currently-active items, there is no limit on how many in total you can create.
Gates: Simple “if this, then that” logic objects you design yourself to associate NFT holder requirements to automated perks.
Query Credits: An allotment of “gate unlock credits” that replenish every month. Pick the service tier that most-closely fits the expected consumer traffic of your project.
Spaces: Custom pages you can create that serve as consumer portals for the token gates you design. There are no extra costs involved in hosting Space pages.
eCommerce: Set up a list of premeditated coupon codes from your e-commerce platform.
Events: A mechanism by which you can design and manage in-person events with analytics and vendor support.
Telegram: The ability to token-gate a private Telegram group or channel that you manage, empowering creators to sell access to exclusive content, livestreams, polling, games, in-person events and everything else that can be done on Telegram.
